    Interesting animal. We have Tebetan yaks at a local game preservation park but this is the first time I've seen this kind.

    Misty Dawn, now you know what to look out for when you visit Himachal in India.
    Cuckoo, apart from on-the-spot hiring options, a yak ride is part of most packages. Here is a sample Manali tour package. Reason enough to visit again!
